​    After six fulfilling years tending to clients at the V.I. Pain Clinic in Nanaimo, I founded Purple Heart Massage. I’ve been serving the Hope community for five years, offering Rolfing Structural Integration. At my Downtown Hope clinic, I welcome a diverse clientele, spanning from young children to seniors, all seeking natural alternatives for their health concerns.

     No injections or drugs, I provide hands-on manual therapy (massage) while respecting the client's comfort by keeping them clothed. My practice specializes in working with clients who have acute conditions as well as those facing challenging chronic problems, even if they have sought help elsewhere without success. The massage style employed at the clinic is based on Structural Integration Rolfing, a comprehensive approach to bodywork.

      The key lies in my ability to sense and manipulate tension in the muscles and other tissues. Tension acts as a barrier, impeding the flow of blood, lymph, and nerve transmission. Just as squeezing a garden hose restricts the flow of water, this tension can lead to a range of issues depending on the affected area. Through massage, we can release these restrictions, enabling the body to heal itself.
