Graham McGee - Owner & Practitioner
I know firsthand what it’s like to live with chronic pain and postural challenges. Diagnosed with Scheuermann’s Kyphosis at 12, I spent years navigating conventional care — wearing a back brace through high school and trying multiple treatments into my mid-20s. Eventually, surgery was suggested as the only solution.
One week before my scheduled procedure, I chose a different path. I reconnected with my birth father, Carl Smith, a certified Rolfer at V.I. Pain Clinic on Vancouver Island. Through hands-on Structural Integration, I experienced meaningful improvement — not just in my back, but in understanding the body’s ability to reorganize itself when given the right input. That insight continues to guide every session at Purple Heart Massage.
Inspired by this transformation, I immersed myself in anatomy, fascial organization, alignment, and whole-body pattern recognition. I trained under my father and developed an integrated, movement-centered approach that combines Structural Integration, targeted deep tissue work, craniosacral techniques, and reflexology. Each session is personalized, focused on how your body organizes itself against gravity, and designed to create lasting change rather than temporary relief.
After leaving an eight-year career at London Drugs, I relocated to Vancouver Island and became a full-time practitioner and business partner at V.I. Pain Clinic. For six years, I worked alongside my father serving clients both in-clinic and in the community. Five years ago, I founded Purple Heart Massage in Hope, BC, where I continue one-on-one, hands-on work in a calm, attentive environment.
I share my life with my wife and dogs, finding balance through hiking, music, and nature when I’m not attending to clients. My journey has taught me empathy and a deep understanding of the body’s capacity to heal. At Purple Heart Massage, I welcome you to experience this approach and help your body return to itself.
